Gisteren m'n 70 uur's check gehaald! Deze keer opnieuw een andere examinator en wel in de persoon van M. Barcena plaats vervangend Chief Flight Instructor. Wel toevallig dat ik tot nu toe elke keer een check had met baan 19 in gebruik. Nadeel hiervan is dat je een heel stuk moet backtracken en dat wil nog al eens lastig zijn met veel verkeer in het circuit.

Voor de 70 uur's check moest ik een vlucht naar Cascais voorbereiden. Hier krijg je eerst een aantal theorie vragen over. Daarna vlieg je een klein stukje van de route waarna je naar een aantal punten moet diverteren. Vervolgens kom je terug en ga je het circuit in voor een short field, flapless, glide in, etc, etc...

De theorie was geen probleem en het vliegen ging prima, hoewel ik zelf over m'n landingen niet zo heel erg tevreden was, anyway ik heb het gehaald en een prima beoordeling gekregen.

Aankomende weekend naar Lissabon voor 2 dagen waar ik echt veel zin in heb. Daarna grondschool TB20 en vrijdag 8 oktober een weekje terug naar Nederland.

No news can mean good news...and in this case it´s good news. I´m so busy with study that I hardly anytime left to update by blog.

What happend the past weeks?

Well...I passed my 4o hrs check did al lot of solo navigations and diversions to almost all directions in the vicinity of evora. Last week I also did my 300 nautical miles solo nav trip to the north...which was really nice! It included to full stops at coimbra and aveiro.

At the moment we are also following IF/RT lessons and as a matter of fact I have my exam one hour from now :-)

It´s really busy these days. Almost 2hrs of rt. sometimes a sim session of 1 hr and 2 flying sorties taking 1,5 to 2 hrs each. That means we are making progression fast! I expect to do my 70 hrs check early next week...but if i continue to fly at this rate i can do it this friday...
